By accessing and using Found A Pet ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Found A Pet provides smart pet identification tags with QR codes and NFC technology to help reunite lost pets with their owners. Our service includes:

  • Custom 3D printed pet ID tags
  • Online pet profiles and management dashboard
  • Secure contact facilitation between finders and owners
  • Lifetime service updates and profile management

3. User Accounts

Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • One account per person/email address

Account Responsibilities

  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Update your information to keep it current and accurate
  • You are liable for all activities that occur under your account

4. Payment and Refunds

Pricing

  • Pet tags are priced at $30.00 USD
  • This is a one-time payment with lifetime service
  • No recurring fees or subscriptions
  • Prices may change for future orders

Payment Processing

  • Payments processed securely through Stripe and PayPal
  • Payment is due at time of order
  • We do not store payment card information

Refund Policy

  • Manufacturing defects: Full refund or replacement within 30 days
  • Shipping damage: Free replacement upon proof of damage
  • Service issues: Pro-rated refund for verified service outages
  • Change of mind: No refunds for tags already produced or shipped

Permitted Uses

  • Creating pet profiles for your own pets
  • Using tags for pet identification and recovery
  • Contacting pet owners through our secure system

Prohibited Uses

  • Using the service for any illegal activities
  • Creating fake or misleading pet profiles
  • Harassing or spamming pet owners or finders
  • Attempting to bypass our security measures
  • Using the service for commercial pet breeding without permission
  • Reverse engineering or copying our technology

6. Content and Data

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of photos and descriptions you upload
  • You grant us license to use your content to provide the service
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to content you upload
  • You must not upload copyrighted material without permission

Content Standards

  • Content must be accurate and truthful
  • No offensive, harmful, or inappropriate material
  • No personal information of others without consent
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms

7. Service Availability

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee continuous availability
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
  • We are not liable for temporary service interruptions
  • Emergency maintenance may occur without notice

8. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Our privacy practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy
  • We never sell your personal information
  • Pet finder contact is facilitated securely without exposing your details
  • You can request data deletion at any time

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Etonix is not liable for lost, stolen, or injured pets
  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for our service
  • We are not responsible for actions of people who find your pet
  • The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee that pets will be found or returned

10. Pet Safety and Responsible Ownership

  • Our tags are meant to supplement, not replace, responsible pet ownership
  • Always supervise pets and use appropriate restraints
  • Ensure tags are securely attached but can break away if caught
  • Keep vaccinations and licensing current as required by law
  • Consider microchipping as an additional safety measure

11. Intellectual Property

  • The Found A Pet name, logo, and service are our property
  • You may not use our trademarks without written permission
  • Our software, algorithms, and processes are proprietary
  • We respect the intellectual property rights of others

12. Termination

By You

  • You may close your account at any time
  • Contact us to request account deletion
  • Downloaded data may be retained as per our Privacy Policy

By Us

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms
  • We will provide notice except in cases of serious violations
  • Refunds for terminated accounts are at our discretion

13. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms from time to time
  • Significant changes will be communicated via email
  • Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms
  • You may close your account if you disagree with changes

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Etonix is incorporated. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
